My first car

Passed my driving test about 2 weeks ago and so i wanted a car afterwards and decided on an MR2. Picked it up earlier this week but wanted to clean it before posting any pics.

Its a 1991 MR2 Mk2 GT T-Bar in excellent condition and cost £1400.

Couldn't be any happier with it

How much on insurance though? What group are these? 16-17?

I'm 21 and the insurance is about £2200 (more than the car cost unfortunately)

Great looking car but I can't help but think that its a poor choice for a first motor straight after passing your test.

It is a Rev 1 yeah, its not as quick as it looks but it is still a 2.0L so need to be sensible with it i'll admit. I'm not a boy racer though anyway so hopefully things should be fine.

Presumably you understand what it is about this car which makes it quite different to drive in certain circumstances from more conventional cars?

It's not really to do with the fact its a 2 litre.

I believe the REV1 is quite twitchy, just take iit very easy as it will take you by surprise.

RWD = Death = Not wise to have one as a first car.
