Nothing impressive compared to what other people are doing but an achievement for me as i am a disaster time bomb when it comes to DIY :D

Added a 120mm Akasa Ultra-QUiet to my side panel by cutting a hole in the side of my case so it was directed at the chipset and partially over my sythe ninja, as a result the idle temp of my chipset and PWMIC dropped from 51 to 41 and the cpu temp dropped from 38 to 32 (assumably because of more airflow) :X so in my opinion is well worth just sticking a huge fan over the chipset as it makes a huge difference
Will work on replacing the 80mm rear fans with 92mm aksa ambers soon as i get some time

Edit: got my full load temps ^^
CPU old: 55oC
CPU new: 50oC

Chipset old: 68oC
Chipset new: 44oC

Opteron 165 @ 2.5Ghz running p95 on both cores

Thats how I started out, you'll be into watercooling before you know it now. Very slippery slope indeed, but great fun none the less! ;)

I haven't modded my case yet but i'm thinking about cutting a 120mm blowhole in the top and i might try watercooling in the future :D

I've got it easy though because my case is designed to mount a 120.2 rad externally behind the two 120mm rear fans. It also has pre-cut holes for the tubing. I prefer having everything done for me becuase i know i'll get something wrong if i try myself :p

Nice work on your mod btw, it doesn't matter what everyone else is doing to their cases, as long as you're proud of it ;)

Nice work, and good news on those temps! :D

My first proper mod was making a 140mm fan fit in place of a 120mm... it required the use of a dremmel :p

I wanna mod my Tsunami Dream by cutting out the stupid media wire thingy in the top, and replacing it with a 120mm fan.

But all ive done so far is remove the plastic media / usb thing and put a fan on the top of my pc and blue tack it down :p
