My First Crash

Hey, i had my first crash 2 day

am only 16, so am really scared at the minute, it was on a ped i was doing about 50mph on this corner, was alright, i got around the corner, then i got closer to the bank, the back wheel went down the bank spinning me out of control, i get control of the bike, the bike just jumps knocking me off i was sidein down the road, the bike landed on my foot, and flipped over me landin in to the ditch

only 1 person stopped 2 ask and he was a farmer, all the other ****ing drives looked at me then my bike didnt ask how i was and drove off :mad:

the worse thing was, i had to call my mate( the lad i was going to see ) to help me get it out, then i had to drive it to his

which was really scarey.

Bikes fine, am loads of pain tho, having problems with my foot tho

, in a way i was asking for it really, but thank god i worn my propa jacket, i was just gonna go in jeans n a hoody, the jacket has saved my arms and my sholder's, best £95 i ever spent

but yeh, i would say i was siding down the road around 40mph

I thought at 16 you had to have a bike restricted to 31mph and not be anymore than 50cc?

Not a very good start driving something that you are not licensed to drive and technically void of any insurance.

Just learn from the experience.

Sounds like you where just going round the corner to fast and couldn't turn in tight enough.

You could get away with derestricted/moded 50cc bikes in my day. But I thought they've been cracking down on them in the last few years?

there isnt a speed limit , just a bhp limit

i doubt he was actually going 50 tbh ( even if he had de restricted it ) but the speedo probably did say that

According to the government it is resticted to 31mph.

Mopeds.

A moped has a maximum design speed not exceeding 50 km/h (approx. 31 mph). It has an engine capacity no greater than 50 cc and can be moved by pedals, if first used before 1 August 1977.

Therefore he isn't legally allowed to ride a derestricted bike at 16.

no offence mate but I expect few car drivers stopped because they saw you up and about and were just happy to see one of these stupid git-peds off the road.

I am royally sick to death of hearing these things whizzing around at all hours always wrung completely out.

Sounds like you were driving like an idiot which seems normal behaviour for these "bikes".

Glad to hear you're ok, lets hope you learn the lesson because you're a bit young to be pegging it.

That's what I thought too... I heard it on the local radio that @ 16 mopeds are restricted to 30mph.

If you have 'modded' it, then this accident goes to show why they are limited to 30mph.

You were lucky, it could've been worse

And get that foot checked out

When I was younger a friend got clocked doing 48mph on his moped. Basically he was charged with riding without a license as once you derestrict them or mod them they technically become motorcycles.

Chop, did you see that video of the BMW that was in this forum the other day?

If so, this was your chance to learn from what being stupid gets you. Your lucky that this accident was as minor as it was. The other guy never got that chance.

HOPEFULLY this will make you realise how dangerous a vehicle is to both youself and other people if mistreated.
