yea but that 3 pin connector is used to identify the RPM. thats it. doesnt reduce it or anything. next to no power goes to it. the molex powers the whole lot

you could do a bit of modding and attach the 2 molex wires to the fan header, but i think you'll need smaller gauge wire to be able to connect it to the little clips inside the fan header plug thingy

e: oh, and get a fan grill to go on that hole on the top of your case

well there are some some fan cables out there that have 2 female connectors so one goes on board to give u RPM and other to the controller, i got 2 or 3 with my controller and isnt your controller powered by molex? so that should give the pump the power...

what pump is it that you have? a DDC?

just read first post, you should be able to run that pump off a 3 pin fan connector. just try it on your controller not on board see if it powers it so take the molex out as well and see if it powers up it should do if not the look for one of those cables like i said

yea i tried powering ti with just the 3 pin fan connector atached to the fan controller thats powered using a molex and it diddnt work

it's a sense wire, it just reports RPM, it doesn't allow control of it

Yea exactly. its a simple sense wire. anyways my pump is almost dead silent now. all i can hear mostly is my case fans. diddnt do anything. it just seems to be getting quieter and quieter the pump!

need to adjust the fan a bit as it sounds like its grinding againts a loose wire lol

you've probably got a tiny bit of air in the pump then; they tend to make a racket when there's a bubble in them

yea its a lot quieter now! i can barely hear the pump and i diddnt do anything to the pump

haha, thats gonna be tricky, especially if you have a small case and want it all internal like me.Ive got an antec veris fusion remote case and im trying like hell to work a solution.
