My latest system tweaks:)

I got the IC paste sent from that big thread, with the promise of testing against the others.

I was expecting just one tube of which ever type, as the thread says, as soon as both types came in the post today I was surprised in a good way:)

No idea, could be the fact that the i5 2500K uses about 60W less under load just to run the chip on its own compared to a PhenomII, my PC is on for a long time per day too.

And I got tracking info today for another bit of the "System tweak"

The audio cable is to allow playback of a MP3 device without needing to turn the PC on.

The front panel USB3 thing is a 3.5" box with a plate to convert into a rear pci slot thing.

One clue for a tweak is in my sig, may be ending up buying new at this rate.

The tracking info for the other "bit" has been along time coming;)

Can get a MSI GTX570 reference cooler delivered to me for £231, this offer ends tomorrow at 15.00hrs, so will see what OCUK weekly offers bring in the morning.

May even still win that GTX560ti yet.

Well happy, the grain on the aluminum is a good match to.

how come the side took sooo long, is it a custom job thing?

Its made to order in Holland then shipped.

Here it is without the flash bouncing of everything,

glad you managed to snap up a card stulid. was it the one you were after?

I was after any GTX570 really, even a used one with warranty would have been fine, the Inno3D I was offered in that thread didn't do it for me having zero warranty and being overclocked to death at that review website during testing, also it being taken apart for that review didn't float my boat either. But the fact I got one with a custom cooler helps.

And the price was key, justed walked into the shop with fresh notes and asked what the best price they could do me a GTX570 for, boom £20 off:D
