Yeah the default install is pretty rough. Arch has a custom one called kdemod that is 100 times better. But i sitll find KDE so much more configurable than gnome and all the packages constitute a common GUI, which i like, each to their own, i just dont like gnome![]()
The G's always get pronounced, descending from the GNU project.(and in my mind the G is pronounced....)
Use XFce, you will never look back, or with a bit of editing I find FluxBox can also be very nice.
Regardless of which you use, they will beat Gnome and KDE any day in my eyes.
I'm not looking forward to uninstalling Linux as my main OS.. But I am going to in preparation for AoC, as I don't really see the point in dual booting. I have been using Ubuntu exclusively for the last few months and have really enjoyed learning it, and using it :up:
