My LX508D Pioneer Kuro Plasma went bang last night

RIP. I‘m still rocking a TX-P50VT65 Panny, although it’s barely used as I never watch TV any more. Resale value is non-existent sadly in this age of 4K! Was going to gift it to the rents but they think a 40” is too big.

I used to be happy with my Samsung Plasma, traded it in the other week for a Samsung DQ OLED...difference is astonishing.

That's a real shame i think that era of plasmas were and are fantastic

My Panasonic ZT65 is still going strong and is used as main TV for both movie and TV and gaming.

I'd already calibrated it but I spent another 6 hours the other weekend calibrating it even more accurately.

I'll be nervous if it fails as I'd replace with an OLED which I know will be better colour depth, resolution, HDR etc but something about the last gen Plasmas I find so watchable - I think near lack of processing artefacts and nearly flawless movement handling without tonnes of processing makes a difference
