My mouse always feels sticky and gross, no matter how much I clean it

I've tried cleaning it was soapy water and baby wipes but it just feels really sticky and gross all the time, I think the coating has worn off, would that cause it? It's a Razer Basilisk V3 which I've only had two years, and I don't really want to spend another £50 when it's working perfectly otherwise. And obviously I'm washing my hands with soap before touching it.

On the sides yeah, textured rubber.

Grease and sweat will slow eat through that plastic, leaving it sticky feeling.

Well that's your problem. The oils in rubberised plastic break down making it sticky.

I've had lots of things with rubberised plastic after about 10 years it goes sticky. Remote controls, kitchen utensils, power tools, joysticks, remote controls, etc

Use rubbing alchol. You might also need to use a green scouring pad as well.

Nah it's not that. I've had things which I've barely used, like kitchen knife sharpeners with rubberised plastic and they still go sticky. Also pair of binoculars

I kinda ****** it, I'm not sure how but baby wipes stripped some of the rubber now it feels even worse. So I guess I can either use 100% ISO to remove all the rubber or just buy a new one.

Get on to their support. It's probably out of warranty but you never know. I don't think it's reasonable for plastics you touch to degrade in 2 years or so

Yes it'll strip the rubber away, go back to the plastic, but it's better than being sticky.

Cleaning it removing the stickyness with something less (like a normal cleaner) may help but it'll come back.

After you've stripped the rubber, maybe replace with grip tape?

Are those on the plastic or the rubberised plastic sections? I can't see how they'll hold on the rubberised plastic...even if it's sticky.

This is the video of the skin being applied. Looks to be stuck to the rubberised plastic.
