My Mum

You have my condolences, and while i'm sorry for your loss and the suffering she went through, she's gone to a better place and is free from pain, illness, worry and strife. Grieve as is proper but not for too long, celebrate her life instead, if she was as happy go lucky as you say then it's what she would want. :)

So sorry to hear your sad news. My father has cancers, one in his brain so, to a certain extent, I feel I can empathize. I'm just not facing the final day, yet.
What I can say however, with confidence, is this : She is not dead, just living in a different plane of existence. I can assure you - she is very much alive and not suffering anymore, she loves you more than you will ever know.

Please accept my condolences. As Richdog says, celebrate her life in any way you can. Take care.

I am really sorry to hear of your sad news Master_X.

My Dad passed away earlier this year and it has been the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with. Like your mum, whilst he was ill, and had been for some time, it was still a complete shock to us all. What made it worse was that he had lived with my mum in France for the last four years so I only saw him every 6 months or so. He died in April but last December was the last time I saw him, for a nice chat and a pint which was quite nice.

I found the best thing was to constantly keep in touch with close family members, in my case it was my Mum and 2 of my sisters. I found it good to speak to them on a regular basis and talk about all the good times and the funny things that have happened in the past. This can obviously be very upsetting but I found it a good way of grieving.

I hope you manage to cope with your loss relatively well (if that is even possible!)
All the best.

Firstly, I'm very sorry to hear your news.

Secondly, can I just say she must have done a splendid job at raising you.

This is clear from the profound tone of your message and eloquent way you share this sad news with the OC UK forum members.

She must be very proud of you.

Hussman.
