When I had ATI 2D Card + Voodoo 2 it was pin sharp (at least for a CRT). Then I had ghosting issues with GeForce 1 and 4 cards (2D ghosting issues meaning a repeated image could be seen, like the mouse pointer etc). Ghosting went and image fine on 7800 GT and fine now on current setup. When I bought this 24" CRT I tried improving sharpness and bought a DVI-A to VGA cable, but it didn't make any difference from the DVI-VGA dongle that came with the 7800 GT. But yeah if you want pin sharpness I hear LCDs are good
