there's another section to set hot keys for pretty much any of the graphics card options. so ive set one which is for the option in there to rotate the image. again, set it once and thats it. For instance CRTL +F11 on mine makes it rotate 90 degrees, and CRTL +F12 makes it go back to normal :)

I use SHIFT+HOME as a 90° toggle, my efficiency > yours :p

REALLY easy to do. It's just an option in the software which allows you to assign gridlines to wherever you want. I have the screen split exactly down the middle. Then all you do is hold ALT when you maximise a window and it fills it to the grid! :D very handy, and works a treat :)

I also set hot key short cuts to get the Nvidia drivers to rotate the screen so when i move it to portrait i just hit a button and sorted!

Damn didnt know you could do that, Really happy you have got one of these Baddass, especially after all the help and advice you have given me with mine :D

I really don't find it too big for games either or find myself moving my head. Since buying a 6800gt Ive started to appreciate it even more.

Its a damned fine gaming screen, a snipers treat too (big screen, high res/detail)...actually kissing craniums in BF2 now

i have one coming tomorrow and 10 minutes ago my PSU died! how gutted am I?!?!? no widescreen gaming til monday/tuesday - the agony will be awful as it will be sitting there taunting me!

omg

I didn't realise those watercoolers were that big

err.. I mean wow nice monitor hehe :) looks well nice, is that a coldcathode under the edge of the desk?

Hmm maybe I should've bought one. Wasn't so sure for the gaming and ghosting possibility tho :(

yeah, my Reserator is sat their, does a good job, and yeah, it's pretty massive! that was a shock when i opened that from the post, but nothing like this TFT! tis a monster! :p

just some blue cathodes under desk, looks quite good at night time with them all lit up :)

this may sound silly but could you output 1280x720 from your graphics card and tell me if the monitor scales ok to that res?

im thinking about getting one for xbox360/pc gaming..

thanks
Mike

Ive done it, and also need for speed 2 at 1024 res before I built my new system and I was still very happy with the look of the monitor.

I had one arrive last weekend :) and I too am smitten by it.

I also have my X-Box running into the s-Video input, in widescreen at 60 Hz and it's excellent, but I did find it was a little dark for my liking and to brighten it up was not as straight forward as you would think, the problem being that adjusting the brightness, adjusted it for every input, so what you have to do is select PIP (Picture in Picture) and adjust the brightness for that, now when you switch to full screen s-video in, it is the brightness you set it at and the monitor D-Sub / DVI Brightness remains at it's previous level.

By the way, I would also recommend running that monitor gamma calibration tool which you can get from Baddass's web page, the colours are very good anyway, but I found that it just tweaked them that little bit more, it's subtle but by heck, my photo's have never looked so life like before, they were so good that in one, I could actualy taste what I was eating then, the memory recollection was that vivid.

Running mine in sRGB mode with DVI input

From the NVidia Panel:-
DV off
Brightness 100%
Contrast 100%
Gamma 1.00
Image Sharpening Min

thanks for that im pretty much decided now, as it allows me to use 1080i in the future as well if i get this one compared to an 720p lcd tv

i dont think he can post in work so i hope he doesnt mind if i answer this he has a Ti4200 i think hes gonna upgrade though! so obviously hes running on VGA at the mo as no DVI on that card.

no, there is DVI on the card but because it's a GeForce 4 ti4200 the DVI can only support 1600 x 1200 resolution! this thing is just too much of a beast for that! :p

Hi there

Glad your happy with it m8!! Anyone who did not get one whilst on special will be kicking themselves.........

Yep I got it on the bundle deal and it is the best bit of hardware I have ever bought...I have it attached to my old rig at the moment as I haven't had time to build my new one with the bits from OCUK..but I get the optimal resolution on my 9800 pro and so far no sign of dead pixels or any squealing...
