Baddass mate.. any news, or a review about the Viewsonic VX922 19" LCD Monitor - Black/Silver (MO-046-VS) ???

there was a bit of info about it here at Behardware. It's just an extension of the VX912 / 924 using a more overdriven version of the AUO panel used in those models. Viewsonic have supposedly improved theiir ClearMotiv electronics too, making them version 2 now, but tbh i doubt much has changed since the VX924

well mine did, and i know many others did too. Worst comes to worst, it prob won't be a problem to return it to the high street store anyway :)

1) I was originally going to go with a dual monitor setup, but decided i will be using the monitor for watching films quite abit aswell,
And after reading Baddass's review at TFTcentral, it says "watching the movies from a few metres away is fantastic", will 2metres away be as good? or by few do you just

yeah, by a few metres i mean just not sat at the desk watching the movie as if you were playing a game / working. I tend to watch from maybe 2 metres away now and any noise which might be apparent is soon forgotten as you admire the size and clarity of the screen. Just so nice to have a screen where videos fit the whole screen! :)

happy to hear that Stan. I still browse in a window in the middle of the screen roughly the size of my old monitor! :) about 1280 x 1024 i'd say, purely out of habit, but when you want to do side by side it's excellent

Your never gonna guess what maria (the GF) might be buying and she hasnt even got a pc yet! I was speaking to her the other day about getting another pc and shes already got her eye on a 2405! I will be taking it :p

I might just whack the exentia up to it and just use it anyway even though the exentia's got a built in screen :D

lol, an excessive choice for a first time PC! but hey, sounds a good plan

yes it does. either this, or "keep aspect" making it as much of the screen as possible, but keeping the aspect ratio rather than stretching to fill the whole thing

It has gone down again. How do OCUK justify the price changes on their stock when other retailers still have it for around the £680 mark?

Dell are no longer supplying OcUK with new stock since they want to sell direct from Dell only from now on. This was the reason for the price bump i think, but the 2405FPW has always been fluctuating a fair bit really....

well let's not get into a price discussion about competitors. It has often varied in price, but OcUK offer their excellent service and a 4 year warranty whereas other places don't. anyway, let's not turn this into a price discussion :)

i'm afraid it would still be considered a competitor though vigil and so discussion of anywhere would not be allowed. Sorry
