My New pc

Really nice build there.

Interesting you didn't go with a better CPU cooler though. How does the stock Intel one perform? Personally not a fan of the case but it does look huge and very roomy!

Enjoy.

Awesome looking rig, but can I ask why, if you can spend so much on a kickass high end rig like that, you are economising by reusing some dreadful looking old Microsoft mouse and keyboard that probably came with your mum's PC about ten years ago?? :p :p

Get that in the bin and get some decent peripherals immediately!!!

What a sexy beast that machine is!

I've never used or even seen a 120hz moniter IRL,how does it compare to a standard 60hz moniter? Do you notice a difference when moving around fast in your games, like really smooth motion or something?

BTW,whats the plasticy looking sheet thing on your desk? It made me curious lol.

haha yes i know i need to replace the mouse and keyboard and i will but ive spent my budget and cannot afford anythin till next month so that will be for the mouse and keyboard lol

i can only compare it to my old 19" samsung monitor but my new one is def worth it and it wasnt too pricey either cant say what price i paid for it as i didnt get it from OCUK but it was a very reasonable price even if it wasnt a 3d monitor which it is of course ;) and yes everthing ive played on it so far is sooo smooth its a very nice monitor

and the plasticy looking shhet is actually a kind of polotheen sheet from dunelm. i allready had a corner desk and needed more work space so i took the top shelves off it then got a 18mm thick MDF from wickses cut it to the shape i wanted and then painted it but the surface wasnt smooth and marked easily so went to dunelm looking for somthing to put over it (I wanted perspex but that would have been way too expensive) and found this polythene sheet for £2 per meter so thought few meters of that at less than £10 and see what thats like warped round it and stapled underneath and apart from the curve bit that has a slight wrinkle in it it has worked really well

oh and then on the bit i will be working on either reparing or building computers i have put like a rubber matt on there (the stuff you can see halfway under my case) just so the polythene doesnt rip or tear

Ahh that explains it i was like why the hell does he have a plastic sheet under his pc lol.

I wish i could experience 3D vision on a moniter, but unfortunately i don't even see 3D in real life cause of an issue with one of my eyes since a kid so im stuck in 2D land, maybe thats why i liked mario bro's so much lol.

Will you be overclocking this CPU? (probobly a stupid question :p)

I really really like that intel cooler,i think it looks much better than the H50 i have and i like the fact is has an intel logo on it that looks like its lit up? Or is that just light shining on it or something? Looks amazing! It's like porn for geeks:D

lol yes the polythene could rip or tear i reckon if a corner of a pc or the side of the pc case when its off somthing dragged across the surface so just to make sure it didnt the matt cost a few quid and is tougher

i havent used anythin 3d yet as i dont have any glasses and i presume for the games i need the nvidia 3d pack thing but i will look at that in the future i just thought for the price of the monitor i might as well get it as id rather have it now and be able to use it later than shell out the money for a decent monitor and 6months down the line wish id had a 3d monitor.

yes i do want to overclock it but have never overclocked a cpu before so i need to do some reading up on how its done and that when i get chance to.

yes the wording "Intel" and "Cooled by Asetek" (which you cant see properly in the pic as its behinde the hoses) is all lit up does look very nice at night even in the day its good

haha thanks i am very pleased with the way it all turned out the months of planning every part has worked out :D
