Yeah I wanted to do web design originally but ile see what comes up. I did apply for the one in Wem as an assistant IT technician but heard nothing back :( Wouldn't mind working the IT department of a big business either. Just don't want to be stuck on 15k a year for the rest of my life, lol. (Not that im on that now but you know what I mean)

web design is quite tricky to get into you have got to be very good at designing things (which i was never good at lol) and keep up with current web technologies if thats what you want to do design a few websites for diffrent things and build up a portfolio and show it off when you send in a C.V and if you dont hear back from ones you applied to phone them up or email asking if they have gave interviews yet when i applied for my job i got an email thanking me for the cv and they will be in touch i didnt hear anything back for a month so i emailed and asked if they had set a date for interviews they said not yet but they will give me one as soon as they had i waited another 3 weeks so emailed again they phoned up 2 days later with a interview for me that week lol

and yes i know what you mean but atm id grab anythin you can even if there only paying you a very small wage get the experince as thats all companys want ive got mates who went from college to uni for 3 years and racked up over 10k in student loans and cant get a job and have gone back to retail jobs as they got no experince which is ridiculas

Yeah, Uni doesn't appeal to me to be honest. I understand hardware more than web design. I enjoy web design but its annoying trying to learn PHP etc. Im ok with HTML/CSS. True about the experience. Anythings better than where I work and even better if its IT related :D

well if you can learn both web design and hardware your off to a good start i know the basics of web design. and yes atm experince will help you a lot and good luck with the job search.
