My new S2000

im a firm believer that the s2000 is feminine, however yours looks fantastic!

the front pic looks baby aston in some way

Wheres the pics of the petrol cap??!! :p ;)

Did look stunning though, also noticed the holder for the can of hairspray by the handbrake, not being occupied I might add :D

Glad you enjoyed the ride Merlin in the skip. I certainly enjoyed being chaffeured in yours :D Just lend the S2k to me and you can park the Rover under your flat. :p

I think an Eaton M45 on that engine would reduce its power output!

Well the M45 only makes about 210hp on the minis, this engine makes 245hp without any forced induction!

Hardly jabbering is it

Panthro, I only paid £9k for her which is a bit of a bargain really. HPI clear 90k miles and old MOT was running out today. It Passed the MOT earlier with no problems at all though.

Jackson go for the M62 on the B16 engines, let alone a F20C. The M45 appears on the D16 units and is pretty much done after 10psi, you can see that on the compressor maps how horrid the adiabatic efficiency goes, and Ive seen how hot the inlet temps go at the end of a full throttle pull.

Couple that to the high compression engine on the F20c and your only asking for issues or a 7k rev limit in the hunt for low end grunt.

Thats what i'm 'jabbering' about.

arent the back end of S2000s dodgy when cornering tho? so many stories I heard that the back just snaps out and you cant control it. A guy i spoke to lost the backend in the wet (wasnt driving fast at all) and smashed the bottom of hes car against a curb.

Looks very nice tho

Ah yes the car is at fault in every crash, the driver has no control ;)

They do have a reputation as being a bit evil on the early models. A combination of the tyres (Specially made s2000 Bridgestone s-02's), suspension and alignment. The wheel base of the s2000 is very short which means it changes direction very quickly. Certainly need to take it easy in wet though and keep an eye out for anything like white lines in the road as hitting one of these under acceleration is a big no no in the wet.

Ive never understood how the white lines can cause so much trouble?

Wheel slips and the Torsen diff in the puts the power to the other wheel, which on a car with a short wheelbase makes it turn very quickly. Road paint is very smooth and is like Ice when Wet

Have you never fell off a pushbike as a kid whilst blasting around the roads in the rain and had the quick lesson in physics and friction properties of painted wet surfaces? :p

I had a feeling it could have been because they get a bit slippery but the seem too small to have caused too much trouble but i kept hearing other wise.

And ive never fallen off a bike due to them :p

Road into the back of mums car once and landed on the bar. It still makes me cringe. God that was painful :(
