My new S2000

Was a MY00 on S02's - Good combo eh ;)

Nothing I could do tbh, as soon as I hit the water I was a complete passenger (half the car hit the water so it turned me pretty fast), and due to zero overhead lighting I had no chance of seeing the water either! (was at night)

I was driving a little fast for the conditions though, a mistake I'll no longer make :)

The MR2 Turbo is alright and a nice car, but tbh I miss the S2k and I'll be back in one within a year or 2

lol at carbon cap.

The stickers were from the old owner, I have now removed them for a cleaner look. Next on the list is an exhaust so thanks for the vids, Decats do make a improvement lower down and especially help 1st and 2nd gear. It has a pretty well flowing cat as standard though.

As for insurance, remember it is a convertible too.

Hey m8

May I recommend JP exhaust! They left my CATs on but their system did improve mid-range torque and the sound was just soooo awsome. Think high powered bike with race cann and that was the type of sound. :)
They are great guys who will custom design the exhaust to get whatever your requirements are and finish it off in the look you preferre. Their pricing is reasonable too, they spend an entire day doing my car and it was like £700, not the cheapest but well worth the dosh. :D

Also go for the AEM V2 CAI as it works well and does get rid of the heatsoak issues. :)

Limp dicks anyone?

Mmm Todo list: Toda, how light is it?

I don't think the tailpipes will look all that good on an S2k though

Edit: Like my edit :p

Toda

Very light, perhaps 1/4 to 1/3 of the OE. Decent weight saving with the decat too, cat weighs a ton.

They might do, get someone to PS em on maybe.

Ah yes the car is at fault in every crash, the driver has no control ;)

They do have a reputation as being a bit evil on the early models. A combination of the tyres (Specially made s2000 Bridgestone s-02's), suspension and alignment. The wheel base of the s2000 is very short which means it changes direction very quickly. Certainly need to take it easy in wet though and keep an eye out for anything like white lines in the road as hitting one of these under acceleration is a big no no in the wet.
I used to LOVE swinging the back end out on mine (02 model), it was scarily easy to do with even the slightest hint of water on the road. It was pretty controllable though, but I wouldn't want to drive one in anger in the wet that's for sure.

The stock specially-made S2000 Bridgestones, like Bridgestones in general, are horrendous in the wet and amazing in the dry.

Think a lower front brace is one of the first mods. Transforms the front end apparently.

Also a stiffer replacement of the standard fit rear tie bar is also recommended

InlinePro 2.5 stroker kit please :p and its wheel power.

Thats on stock header, cat and cams, just 2.5" cat back and high compression fand Portflow head for now, hes getting the cams together to drop in.

That must be incredible to drive

i've got to say i'd expect a lot more then 20bhp with an extra 500cc. what's the torque difference?

Thats at the wheels though. Prob about 290-300 at the flywheel.

Ignore peak numbers though, the torque increase is massive
