No worries, fake or not its very nice. Unfortunatly i got my watch stuck in a satellite dish and scratched it so im on the look out for a new one

Looks a bit dodgy, i remember reading something about an etching/crown under the 6, to show fake/real etc. Cant remember the proper story about it though.
Nice watch either way.

yeah it could have been 166 something
thats a diificult one, the latest ones have a laser etched Rolex logo on the crystal just abive the 6 , it is very very hard to see though
as said look at the magnification from the cyclops, also the top of the number 4 sgould be flat not pointed ( a few exceptions to this but not many ) , the second hand should be longer too
infact on that one the white circles on the face dont have a silver outline and nor are the hands the correct colour
that is an early non SEL 16610 , there were differnces on the dial

That's a really poor copy.
Not the worst I've seen, but pretty close.
I'll just list some of the flaws i've spotted while typing this post.
Rolex coronet is wrong
Rolex logo font is wrong
The hour markers are too large for the black Submariner
The crown guards are totally the wrong shape
The font on the bezel is wrong
The cyclops magnification is a joke
The end links on the bracelet extend beyond the case, which they shouldn't
The finish on the case is poor
There no way that watch cost more than $20 USD unless someone scammed the buyer.

You missed the minute markers being too long
Which makes it all the better; history.
And also makes these goons saying it might be a fake look all the more silly

I have no idea whether it is a fake or not. But judging by the comments it probably is. But to me I couldn't care less whether it's a £10 watch or a £1000 watch.
To me a watch is a very personal thing and it's more about the history of the watch and perhaps a story behind it. I haven't worn a watch for many years although I am looking for one right now. I have a clock on my phone so don't need one really. But I am looking for something from 1969 for a personal reason. Used watches have far more character than a new £x000 pound watch in my view.
So enjoy the watch. It has meaning to you.

I have no idea what relevance a watches history has to the fact that it's a fake. If someone else posted a pic of a watch I thought was a fake, I'd call it again incase they'd bought it off an auction site without knowing it could be a fake.
