My new weekend toy - Supra TT :-)

cheers it wont be changing massivley compared to the above, just the addition of some carbon bits and bobs. My next big purchase is wheels, they can either make or break the look of the car. Unsure what I should get, I do have something in mind buts its 3k:eek:

Gold? I see gold with that paint.

This sort of style would look good I reckon:

Need something concave or with a bit of dish on the Supra in my opinion.

im not a fan of gold, well I dont think it will suit the car either. I defo want something with dish on it

kinda liking these...

Like a good Supra, pleased to see the work on this one :)

A guy I used to work with now owns this...

TT manual import with about 400bhp with BPU mods I think, better (?) UK spec brakes and other bits I believe as well! One of the nicest I have seen...

This is probably the best looking car I've seen all year.

I would buy one of these in a heartbeat, but for the fact that I can't get an insurance quote on a toyota celica vvtli, let alone a 3 litre twin turbo monster such as this.

:(

its low miles which I presume he demands top $ for it....and the service history
It doesn't have any extras such UK brakes, active spoiler etc. Im pretty sure if you hold out a bit that price will be coming down.

yes keep an eye out for it, the price is going up on them but i think 6k is a lot to ask for it. At the end of the day with supras its mostly about what someone wants to pay and is willing to pay.

A little update on this

I have decided not to blend the lip as it will just end up cracking but its been fixed down better than it was before.

The front number plate has been removed and smoothed (ill be running the plate in the window until i get in trouble) lol

Few Pics below of progress

I have made some recent purchases, Glass Headlights, Defi Gauges, Oil pressure, Oil temp and boost with a controller box and a 3 a pillar pod. I'm upping the boost as soon as I get a boost controller so I need brakes to stop the car, currently running JSPec 2 pot fronts and 1 pot rear :S, I have recently bought UK brakes, which are 4 pot fronts and 2 pot rear, these will be refurbished with new seals and pistons and painted in either the body colour or black (not decided).

As for the car, in previous pictures the bonnet scoop issues were not obvious but its dropped, the starlet scoop is steel and the bonnet is alli so it could not be welded and they used rivots and then fibre glass. Touch wood its not reacting any more so the car will be put back together and buffed. I have also had the engine bay painted too (masking off the engine and removing the components on the sides).

I have replaced the stock air intake with an after market HKS mushroom filter, the reason for this was my inter cooler pipework had to be bodged (by me) with the original stock intake the pipe with the kit that goes from the arch into the engine bay got in the way of the intake so I used a 45 degree silicone elbow and used the original pipe, the elbow was a weak point where I would always get leaks from there so I decided to put the original pipe work on with the kit and just buy an after market air intake. Ill take some pictures of this and update.

What is next.... Well a few of us are getting together for FF7 meet in early April (watching the movie), so my aim is to have the car ready for this, this also includes buying wheels.. Which im shopping for at the minute. I think I have a set in mind, is anyone familiar with japan racing wheels? Quality etc I would prefer opinions from actual owners rather than the "the wheel costs £200PW so its going to be rubbish" comments from non owners :)

Pictures added and forgot to add I have also bought a HKS SSQ3 which has been welded into a 4" intake pipe, this replaces the shiny alloy pipe in the picture above. I will be blocking the stock recirculating valve.

I also have a set of spare turbo pipes which I will be either painting gloss black or crinkle painting them. I havent decided yet but the engine theme will be black. You can see a little red on the bulk head but that cant be painted, thats an engine out job!
