My Official £50-£46,000 betting challenge

You'd have no F5 key left :p

In other news, i'm out :(

Good luck to all those still playing.

That match nearly got me also. Luckily I'm playing super cautious so managed to stay in the game.

agreed in a sense but if you can "remove" yourself from the fact it's £1000 and not just a £10 - what's the difference. Take the emotional attachment away from it.

Don't change the betting pattern and what i'm sticking to and it should be fine! (he says confidently!!)

I have actually tried this many years ago with £5k and managed to get to £28k.

I now use a different method now though tbh

Would be interesting to hear your strategy foz

I'm away for the weekend but will post with a few screenshots from my last 4days of bets.

I haven't got a strategy per se, I usually only bet on games im watching and go for overs after the first goal has gone in. Tbh betting is more about luck rather than strategies. I don't want to hijack this thread and take it OT.

As I said previously I have used the ops method with success but have also been stung for £3k although started with £150 and didnt have as much discipline as I do now. Just to add I don't just bet on footy to win, usually play hi/lo on betfair.

I'm still going strong, over £31 now thanks to over .5 goals in the Barca game. I won't be putting anything on tonight though as nothing favourable. Should make up for that tomorrow though.

So what would you say your overall win/loss is from gambling in your lifetime?

£16k profit, I don't bet often, my first stint at betting was from 5k to 28k, stopped for 7years without betting.I do post in football stadium thread a couple of bets before they come in and I have lost a little bit.

I'm not here to preach either way and tbh whether anyone believes me or not I'm not really bothered. I was just stating that I had tried the Op's strategy and have had seen both sides of the strategy.

that is what all gamblers say.

i have a mate and say he wins £150 playing poker, he goes into the casino and loses £100 the next day, he say's oh well im still up overall.

It's BS he lost £100 that he had in his pocket, they say that to make themselves better for losing.

Say you won the lottery for £10 million and then bet £9 million on a game and lost it, what do you think people would call you? Then you turn round and tell them actually i didn't lose £9 million i'm still £999,999 up, so there.

it's a ridiculous way to look at things. you earned that £1K by gambling think about the amount of time and effort put in also, as well as the stress associated.

Stop me if I am wrong, but you actually seem to be making good progress here.

He is indeed. He's made £9.19 in two weeks! ;)

Factor in how long it has taken to choose your bet/update your spreadsheet etc you'd have been better off flipping burgers on a Saturday for £5p/h.

Definately need to start this 'game' with a triple figure opener.

Hopefully by day 100 he'll have an interesting amount to play with.

Had £2.00 floating about in my betting account. Check these returns out:

Stake Bet Winnings
£2.00 Valencia 0 v 0 Real Sociedad (Under (2.5)) £0.33
£2.33 Atletico Madrid 1 v 0 Villarreal (Atletico Madrid) £0.39
£2.72 Ronnie OSullivan 5 v 4 Ding Junhui (R.O'Sullivan) £0.54
£1.26 Xerez 2 v 1 Hercules CF (Under (4.5))

If the Xerez v Hercules CF bet comes in I would have almost doubled my initial stake. I don't have the balls to start with £2,000 or even £200 though!

Up to £52.

I like this, I can be sat at the computer and just think "wonder what games are happening tonight" and make a few pounds profit.

Of course eventually I'll lose it all but this is quite a bit of entertainment for a tenner :)
