My Pet Birdeating Spider

i'll try get one :)

Mind you it's "Scorpion" and not "Scorpions :p...Sorry

Still good.

This is my Spider.

He's an Ariados but I call him Bitey.

Ariados is a spider. It has a red body with black stripes and an unhappy face on its abdomen. Ariados has four yellow legs with purple stripes; its fifth and sixth legs seem to have been moved onto its back. Both the horn and mandibles on Ariados are white.

As you can see it has awesome colouring and is very friendly.

He knows Bug Bite, Spider Web, Sucker Punch and Posion Jab. He has the Insomnia ability so he can't ever be put to sleep and has a Brave nature which isn't the best but he's still cool.

Despite this being a spiderbro thread you must post pictures of the scorpions.:D

But on a side note, this is the ladies Tarantula (that sounds odd....If not scary )

The Hissing Cockroaches ;)

would love to see pics of the spiders owners. I bet they're all ******* emo's, goth or stoners who don't get out much.

It's entirely possible that i'm stereotyping here. :p

So don't take my post seriously.......ya crazie junkies!

You are stereo typing yes :)

My girlfriend is not a goth / stoner / emo...In fact she's never smoked, and does not drink alcohol...So there :p

Oh and neither am I for the record...I'm a Metal loving Dutch Hardcore raving skank :p

When I get home from work I'll post a picture of myself and the girlfriend and we'll see :)

Well, they are quick when they hunt obviously...But when you take it out of its tub it just slowly creeps along your hand, whereas a house spider would have a fit and run a mile...causing my girlfriend to have a mental fit and cower into a ball (probably)

makes sense

Did anyone else really want to see the Spider just jump on his face and see him **** himself after he prodded it a few times?

YES!

*runs to get popcorn*

...not really :/ :p

have a gander on RFUK, some of the ladies on there who keep spiders and other exotics are far far far far far from what you are imagining ;) the 18+ section for example is very very fun at times :D

Here is me and my beautiful girlfriend on our way to Burger King and a Cradle of Filth concert.

You see - I could never own a pet that doesn't show affection or isn't docile enough to hold without potentially getting my hand ravaged! :D

Still, other than being a little ferocious, cool pics/vid!

Give it some bigger prey though ;)

What a bunch of pansies, your average cat could do a load more damage than a tarantula or most snakes :p

A little generalised there I feel. :p

I'd FAR rather be on the receiving end of a cat tantrum than be bitten by some species of baboon spider or anything from the poecilotheria genus (such as my Indian ornamental rainforest spider on page 1). Severe cramps, extreme pain, heart behaviour irregularity and various other fun symptoms that easily last 2 weeks are quite a lot worse than a cat attack!

Most 'beginner' tarantulas are nearly harmless though.
