My Photobox Print Nightmare!

Hehe, the english in the email made me laugh!

Photobox Customer Service is great. In one of my orders I received a couple of photos that were not mine so I just emailed them pointing this out just in case someone was missing a print. The emailed back within an hour apologising profusely!

I have used them nearly 2 years and cannot fault them at all.
 
i never actually heard of them, till someone pointed out the offer.

then again... i never really printed any of my work till now. ;)
but they do still a very nice job at what they do.

and i dont mind there english, i thought there customer service was a lot better than having some kind of gererated email, or having to phone a *please press 1* number.

looking forward to my prints... just need the frames now :)
 
I did wonder if all that profile business might cause an unexpected problem. Good to see it got sorted out though!

How did you do the borders for your pictures as having black all the way round looks really nice and much better than the white I always get on my 'shrink to fit' prints.

yep, take a new document into photoshop, make sure its say... 30x20 exact.
create a new layer, fill it in with black.

then place the image in the middle. adjust its size so its centre and enough for a border. then i just work on all the layers and images, once its done.

add a drop shadow, or anything that create's a line behind the image. if you want a white line border, if not. just keep to the black.

its easy when you think about it :)
im sure you'll have no problems doing it.

Not especially. I agree that when dealing with customers it is important to make the effort, but they could be speaking Klingon for all I care given their track record. I have seen many examples of fantastic customer service from them.
I personally haven’t had an issue with any print, but I have received plenty of perfect prints in very quick order.
They have won my business indefinitely (assuming no change in service), and this just re-emphasises that.
 
Slightly off topic but I ordered 4 photo books the other day. All on BOGOFF, hehehe

Anyway 2 of the albums came thru and they seemed thicker than the other two. Anyway they had reprinted the same album in the same book. Hense double the ammount of pages. So quality control im not too sure about but it was only a minor issue unlike yours..
 
well..

all ends in good news.
recieved them today via parcel force, all are great, no more problems :)

looking forward to finding the frames now for these.

but i sent a thank you email to them, :)

im happy
