My Poverty Spec Vauxhall

I know this is not going to be 100% accurate or anything, will compare results from S2000 and a Kia Picanto later on this week.

That's ok, my exige s2 had Larini club sport. Was over 102db just at 4,000 rpm got kicked off every track I used.

But you should get some ear plugs, mine got to me in the end. Supercharger and exhaust hitting over 120db.

I think elise is easier to life with everyday? Strange move, like to know why you changed.

Neil you exige had nice few mods as well? Must be close to 300bhp?

Exige - Toyota 2ZZ-GE 1.8l (Celica VVTLI engine + SC)
Elise - Honda K20 2.0l (Civic Type R engine + SC)

The Exige was 230bhp @ the hubs, around ~260-270bhp @ the flywheel.
The Elise is 277bhp @ the hubs, around ~300-310bhp @ the flywheel.

That doesn't paint the whole picture, the Elise is at least around 100kg lighter and has much more torque available everywhere in the rev range.

The Elise is a little harder and noisier due to the loud exhaust on it at the moment, but nothing night and day different as it's still a usable everyday car.

Performance wise, the Elise is miles faster.

Exige 0-60 + 0-100 = Low 4's + High 10's/low 11's.
Elise 0-60 + 0-100 = 3.x's + 8.5.

WOW!

Thats quick!

I always thought the Exige was the daddy, how come this Elise is not known as an Exige or is it modded or some special edition?

My question would be more around why a chap with the money to pay for the conversion would do it to an elise and not start with an exige in the first place. Not that the elise isn't awesome, just the exige looks that bit more special - a proper race car for the road!
