My Poverty Spec Vauxhall

WOW!

Thats quick!

I always thought the Exige was the daddy, how come this Elise is not known as an Exige or is it modded or some special edition?
No Lotus has come from the factory with this engine, it's an engine transplant. It's what it should have got when they changed from Rover to Toyota but Honda at the time were still making the S2000.

My question would be more around why a chap with the money to pay for the conversion would do it to an elise and not start with an exige in the first place. Not that the elise isn't awesome, just the exige looks that bit more special - a proper race car for the road!
This car was converted 5 years ago, only the Rover engine/subframe could be done at the time. You can as of this year convert a Toyota powered car.

Mike awesome car!

Dyne day is this Saturdy. :)

Tyre wise you need two sets for a car like this:-
Advan AD08 / r888 etc. For summer / track use.
Michelin Alpin Pilot PA3's for winter.

Or something like SuperSports for all rear round use and be careful in colder and wetter months.

Are the SuperSports really suitable for something as light as an Elise / VXT?

Arhh finally got rid of that old Honda then Mike :D ...I'm not sure your choice would have been my choice but nice car none the less. I certainly have a lot of respect for it's capabilities. Must be nice to have some decent torque now eh :p

The Elise is a little harder and noisier due to the loud exhaust on it at the moment

Christ :o ...your Exige was really loud as it was, or I thought so anyway, used to be able to hear you coming from quite some distance off at the Hungry Horse.

Stll have the S2000 need to get on and sale it. Will post the phone dB readings for it when I get home.

Standard rims 175/55/17 and 225/45/17
Team Dynamics (as per the pics in this thread) 195/50/16 or 205/45/16 and 225/45/17

They are the common sizes.

I'll be fitting 205/45/16 and 225/45/17 AD08s to my TDs for my SC'd VX220 in the spring and keeping the standard rims/tyres for the winter.
