My problem in chronological order

All he's proving all the time is it's user error not a faulty card...

He should be using games and see how they perform and not play with a brand new card some tech demo benchmarks all time... Seems to me he's more bothered about benchmarks then a card that plays games... Someone want to explain to him that certain benchmarks stress cards harder them actual games ? Also now like magic his benchmarks work, where before they would lock up as he said and supposedly showed on a youtube video... It's all user error from all his posts i'm seeing and the card was even tested by OCUK as working... So he has to look at himself here not the card.

What games do you actually have there ?

Do you

Street Fighter 4

Hawx

Resident Evil 5

Batman Arkham Asylum

etc that has a built in benchmark tool ..

If not download these ... and run them and then compare what you get to what reviews of your card got.

Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. 2 Benchmark

Street Fighter IV Benchmark

I was just using benchmarks to demontrate my problem. i normally play hawx 1 and 2, assassins creed, stalker, alien swarm. it was with games that i first noticed my problems and started trying benchmarks.

Word from HIS:
"It may be caused by the bad contact between GPU and cooler."
I am finally speaking to a technician and he is trying to diagnose the problem. His first reply was the above. OcUK said the cooler was not loose but is it possible that it is something internal that is not visible from outside eg. bad spread of thermal paste?

Should i be worried? I got a lot of lag and fan was at 56% for most of it and shot up to 95/100 a few times for a second or two. I got artifacts but was too slow to get a print screen. This was DX10 with settings on medium. Also, I have noticed a couple of artifacts in few games but they are for a second or two. Is this definitely the start of a heat problem. I have stopped using the card incase. The average FPS was around 15-23

EDIT: I have just heard a high pitched hum/buzz and it changes pitch as my computer is under stress. I think it is either gfx card or PSU. Possibly a cathode?

ok just seen the 950 . so gess your running higher volts to. a combo of case cooling/ heatsink not making great contact, could well be the prob

No running stock volts. I was an idiot and was reading off the wrong thing. It is actually 880/250. I am definitely going to send it back but i have been advised to try and get as much evidence that it is faulty before sending back.

so its a 70 not a 50 flashed to 70 . if so i'd be looking for a exchange . but if flashed then card can't take it. better to flash the 50 shader unlock bios. less stress with having slacker mem timings/vrm has something differant/core volts and other things.

I bought day after release before the unlocking started so it is a true 70

FYI out of the 2,600 odd posts of mine they are mostly helping people so you may fall off your high hourse any time. Adding a bit of jest to the topic they we all have read 100s times does not harm. Im sure the op is a big boy now and tell me himself :)

Sorry to derail you post Cleeecooo, hey if i pay the p&p will you send it back and call it a day :p

Why not? I'm presuming your not serious
