My rigs.

I've not seen anything particularly offensive being said, some people just saying they like it, or dislike certain aspects. Also The fact you have ASD wouldn't really occur to someone from just reading a few posts of yours on a forum.

Either way, good job, even if certain aspects aren't to taste.

I've been called tasteless, a chav, god knows what else.

Life offers you opportunities to just walk by things you don't like. You don't have to stop and say what you think. I'm an Aspie and trust me, a filter is something I was not born with and it shows.

So I've spent most of my life taking therapy to stop me saying things to others that are ill thought through and possibly harmful.

But all of that aside? you don't need to stop off and criticise people, especially when they didn't ask you for it. If I were sponsored and throwing around thousands of pounds worth of stuff? then by all means criticise.

This is nothing but a hobby and something I enjoy. That's all. I'm not showing off I'm just keeping my mind away from depression. Yeah, I become obsessed with things, probably too much. But I don't have that stop button that neurotypicals have. Something is never too enjoyable and I never feel 'full' as it were.

Any way, let's get back to the build now.

OK so the first real update. The DFI modding kit came, along with two lovely orange SATA cables.

And here is where I am at with the GPU, starting with the back.

And the front.

Once the back plate is done I can get it all bolted back together.

Finally something is going sorta right. So my plotter arrived.

Time for some fun, if you can call it that.

And the top. Note - it's not finished yet I still have the TFIII logos to cut.

And a quick one round the back...

And it's safe to say, me and this plotter are getting along fine :)

I've wanted one for years but they were horribly expensive and, needed to feed a 1 meter wide sheet. This one can feed a A4, which means 99p per sheet.

It'll pay for itself pretty quickly. It's the Sillouette Portrait, I got mine for £125 direct.

Quick update.

So all of the plugs I ordered came.

I also ordered a 140mm orange Cougar fan for the front.

I've set up an RMA with the motherboard for a refund and re-ordered the B85N Phoenix. I did think about using the all black one but tbh I really had my heart set on the Phoenix, given it lights up and has orange bits on it :D

OK so it was time to design and cut the Lanparty logo. First up I designed my black parts..

Send to the plotter...

Load the yellow.. As you can see, X8 is now a very busy little computer :)

And cut.

OK here's the orange bit.

And cut.

OK now, mask the yellow and prepare the black.

Merge.

Get rid of the masking.

Add black layer two.

Decal orange, orange decal..

And finished.

Thanks. I shall be covering the front panel maybe later tonight or tomorrow.

The fan controller knobs are ordered from Hong Kong, so it'll be a week or so before they arrive.

Unfortunately I am now wrapped up in building new furniture and wiring up an incredibly complex cinema kit (I knew it was coming) so I've not managed to do much. Still no CPU and no board or cooler either :(

Here is where I am at.

I really like the carbon effect you have going on.

The black carbon is going. The fan controller is going to be revamped with bright orange knobs and will highly likely be yellow, as will the two block shaped bits next to it.

It's just been a royal pain this one. I still don't have the CPU board or cooler and I ordered all three 12 days ago.

All looking really good.
I'm very impressed at the pace you bash these builds out in :D

It's quite an upsetting thread with some of the personal comments, it's a log about the builds people!!

Some amazing amazing work, love the OSX build you did. All the custom things are lovely, the backplate for the 780GTX is also lovely. Some real talent here.
