My RX9070 Gigabyte appears to be slightly bent

Alright I’ve arranged with overclockers a return, getting collected tomorrow. Now need to buy something else.
Might feel like a hassle right now and doubly frustrating when cards are OOS, but as soon as you get your hands on something else you'll be thankful to have it off your mind :D

I just returned a Gigabyte 9070 XT from another seller. The backplate was distorted slightly and one set of heatsink fins was slightly angled versus the other. I didn't even install it to try. I wasn't impressed by the build quality and QA vs the cost.

I seem to remember in the past Gigabyte had a lot of pcbs cracking on their graphics cards.

Your not paying extra for the quality control then. They do seem to be trying the Asus trick with charging extra.

Buyer’s remorse? No mate, this reply sounds like you are trying to blame me for something here. Putting a ruler against something that should be straight and showing that it is not is not a good proof of issue? If I wanted to return it I would just return it without posting on this forum.

Not at all, it just feels like you're very concerned about something I'd not be, apologies if I came across poorly, late and overly busy evening on my end. I'd make use of that two week return window rather than fret over it were it an issue tbh, I know GPU's are like hens teeth at the moment so I imagine that plays a factor.

OCUK handle Sapphire RMA/CS when buying from them so should something go wrong the process is unlikely to be a problem, but I'd personally slap a support bracket under it and forget about it. I've seen similar before with cards that ran fine for years, and GPU PCB's are a lot shorter now than they used to be, I'd put it down to HSF sag.

Gigabyte are permanently off my list of potential new cards. I'll use my spare card (GTX 1070) and be patient until the right card is available.
Yeah, it was 2nd Gigabyte gpu I ever bought and quality isn’t there unfortunately. Don’t think I’ll buy gigabyte in the future, ordered Nitro+ while I’m waiting for a refund for this.
