Jan doesn't die. It's all an act, they make you think she's died to make you go crazy to lead them to the valley of the jedi so that desann can go all crazy jedi lightning strike but it turns out she didn't die at all and you rescue her on a star destroyer type ship called the doomgiver then you kill desann and you and jan kiss.

As far as I can remember your ship doesn't get destroyed (and you don't use the Ebon hawk).

Might be more of an official "hands up" from Lucasarts rather than a glaringly obvious thing... I dunno, I dont have the dvd's to check.

Kyles first ship is the Moldy Crow which in dark forces 1&2. It gets wasted in the valley of the Jedi when you fight the bird with the blue light saber or Yun. In Jedi knight 2 karls new ship is the Raven's Claw. Never hurd of the Hawk.
