Can anyone help here?

Got the mybook world connected to the router, set an account up and works fine and dandy.

Tried to set it up on my dads laptop and keeps saying it can't find it?

He can connect to the router but it can't find the mybook when trying to create his own account.

What router is it?
Can your dad's laptop see other PCs in the network?
Some routers isolate the WAN from the LAN, so check the settings in the router.

Thanks, used to have my pc setup so he could use the harddrive so will give that a try and will check the router settings.

Have any idea what I should be checking, its a sagem.

Skys firmware on it.

I can't help with the router.
Since this seems to be more of a network than HD problems, I suggest you ask about your router in the networking forum.
