Just a word of advice, NEVER use these lol, basically, I bought an item from eBay and the person i bought it from used MyHermes/Hermes to send it to me.

I was told it would come within the Tuesday the 18th and Friday the 21st, it came on Saturday the 16th at 7:45am, which the company say they delivery 8am-8pm so i don't understand why he came that early, since it was a Saturday i wasn't going to be up at that time.

The following week from the 16th, I made sure that someone would be home so not to miss him while i was out, using the tracking number to see what was happening, i noticed they said they had came out twice, which i knew was a lie.

One of those times, i was getting ready to leave on the morning and the second, I had been home for an hour and was waiting for the package still.

Thankfully the seller was nice enough to send another out using Royal Mail(came 2 days later.

Moral of the story? If it says "Other Courier" make sure you find out what the company they use is like. Or you might get played like i did.

I've used them to post approx 20 times - no problems.

Had one issue with receiving an item where it didn't turn up:
- checked with the company I bought from,
- they were told by Hermes "left it under the bench"
- "we don't have a bench" I said
- Item arrived couple of days later, retrieved (I assume) from under someone's bench. Box looked a little worse for wear, but the stuff inside (clothes) was fine

Mistakes happen, so I'm happy enough with the service.

I'd never heard of them until then, i done a little digging on them and found a lot of people had problems with them, I was hoping since this was the first time I was getting something delivered from them I would have no problem, I was wrong.

Now i do understand they might be ok, I was annoyed the most at the fact on the website using the tracking number, it came up saying they had came and tried to deliver, which wasn't the case at all, the only time i had an "we missed you" card was from the first visit(16th) nothing from that point. Yet they claim to have been out 2/3 times after that.

The customer service wasn't AWFUL, they were however, none helpful. As every time i called them, they would say i had to call ONEWORLDEXPRESS, when i called them they would say they couldn't do anything as its down to MyHermes/Hermes, so i got nowhere lol.

You can practically guarantee that every week there will be a "Don't use x courier because of this one experience I just had" thread.

Last one was DPD if I recall correctly?

thing is if you google any courier youll find a tonne of horror stories about them too.

people very rarely go to the internet to praise couriers.

Yeah, that's true I guess.

I just tend to go by first impressions, if you're awful the first time round, then i'll try to not use those again.

Yodel are the worst and have been voted so for numerous years on the trot. My first experience was whilst washing up in the kitchen I saw a box thrown over my back wall and crash down on the stone floor I was like wtf !!! It wasn't just tipped over the wall this mother nearly went into orbit! Hermes have been ok not brilliant bit ok. The best are Royal Mail and dpd by far

As I read this, a parcel arrived from myhermes, no problem. I didn't even get the choice, If I could, I'd probably go with DPD for the stalking driver ability.

Lots of waffle (not coloured blue)

I use Hermes on a regular basis. They have a collection point round the corner. Never had a single issue.

Thing is, as is with a lot of cheap courier services these days, they actually outsource to local agents.

As it appears in the thread, most of those agents are doing their job right so it just must be a crap agent in your area.
