Myleene Klass + 2yo daughter confronted by intruders; warned by police

From my experience of this rubbish newspaper,
Agree that it is a rubbish newspaper if one can call it a newspaper. Just wanted to make this clear before some mistake my argument as taking the utterly untenable position of supporting the Daily Mail.

especially local authorities, government, police, ethnic minorities, etc, seemingly to stir up hatred towards them.
I agree that they have always been anti local-authorities, anti non-authoritarian (e.g. Labour) governments and very anti ethnic minorities. I would, however, hold to the assertion that they are pro police action. They are anti police inaction and many stories against the police will be due to this.

This is another article from DM that isn't reporting the facts fully.
Perhaps, but do we have any further indication of what the facts might actually be?

What a joke, really. If they got into her home, what should she have done? Just let them steal her personal belongings without intervening?

This IS the problem!
People seem to think that their personal belongings are more important than human life! Which obviously it isn't, even low life thieving scum's lifes!
The law in the U.K is bang on and one of the most fair and civilized on the planet.

What if they came into your house wielding knifes? What would you do? You wouldn't try and defend your self and your family?

No, he seems like the sort of liberal ******** who'd offer to make them a cup of tea and then warn them about the 'dodgy doorstep' just in case the poor darlings hurt themselves whilst lugging out his belongings.

Errrrmmmmm.....
That's completely different to what I am saying
The last thing I would do is confront anyone and escalate an already bad situation! The only time this would NEED to be done is if one was cornered and it would be the last resort.
An intelligent person would get their family and selfs as far away from the danger as possible! THAT is how you protect your family! Not getting all alpha and confronting people, your not much use to your loved ones if your lying on the floor with a screwdriver/knife sticking out your chest!

Yes of course, I'm a liberal '********' because I value human life over inanimate objects :rolleyes:

I think you need to grow up Mr Keyboard warrior !

how do you know they came for personal belongings and even if they did why should she let them take them ?

do you break into peoples houses and expect them to let you take their belongings which they have worked for ? maybe because that person has money or a job so they can get some more....yeah sure it's your right to take other peoples belongings.

2 wrongs don't make a right and things can be replaced, people cant - well some of you lot could be replaced with monkeys i guess ;)

Funny you should say that. I do actually keep a rather large 'keyboard' readily at hand just in case some thieving little ****s decide to try and burgle me again.

lol
From experience I have found more often than not the people who shout the loudest also tend to be the ones that scream the loudest whilst they run away wetting themselves!
Love all the macho nonsense in here from some posters! I just hope you don't actually have family's that need protecting as you'd be a complete liability to their safety in reality!!

It is certainly pro tough laws and the ability of police forces to apply them ruthlessly.

I think it would depend on what laws the Daily Mail saw fit to be ruthlessly enforced.

If laws were passed where illegal immigrants were dragged from their beds at dawn and placed into holding centres before being deported to whence they came, irrespective of the conditions they were held or the lawlessness and dangers or lack of rights that their home country posed then I can't see the Mail being too concerned about that but you as a lawyer and I as a police officer know the serious flaws and issues with such a viewpoint.

It would seem to me that whenever they attack the police it is for inaction rather than action. I accept, however, that we both have equal and opposite bias on this issue due to our respective career choices.

I have said before that the police service is not the perfect organisation and lack of common sense of law and policy makers leaves a lot to be desired and will have the knock on effect.

I the 10 years I have been on the force I have seen discression almost vanish where schoolchildren are arrested for playground fights with DNA taken as well as photographs and a possible criminal record and this is something I have never been at ease with.

I have also had some classic spats with defence briefs. ;)
