I'm very suprised to hear that! Can't you stand the taste?

I'm sure you know eggs are THE best source of protein available to us. I eat six a day usually!

I've not eaten eggs since i was old enough to have a say. Yeah, its the taste. I will experiment with whites at some point, i promise! :D :p

6! You must be very smelly to be around during the day.

By egg whites I was on about the ones from MP. Are they worth the ££?

Omlettes and chicken boobs sound the better and tastier option, I was just weighing up my options to be honest :)
Why? do eggs make you smell?

They are worth it if you just want to be able to throw them into a shake without any worries. They're tastless (you listening MTA? ;)) and 100% bio available so your body uses ALL of it :)

OK OK........looking on MP they give the following info:

Nutritional Information (per 30g):
Energy 51.0kJ
Energy 12.0cal
Protein (as-is) 3.0g
Carbohydrates trace
Fat trace

So they're 10% protein meaning your 6 eggs a day is about 20gms. Is it really worth it? :D

i think he means whole eggs...i have about 4/5 whole eggs every day...each one has 8g protein :)

I do indeed mean whole eggs. I don't buy the liquid egg whites, not because there's anything wrong with them I'd just rather get eat whole eggs, the yolks are extremely nutritious and full of good fats :)

I think I'll be sticking to natural foods then :)

We are often throwing away out of date eggs so it's a good excuse to use them up before they do go off.

Off to the supermarket tonight then.

This morings breakfast was the following......

125gms Oats
50gms Whey
1 Green banana
Spoon of honey
Pint of water
and..............2 egg whites!!

Stuck it all in the blender, actually tasted just like banana, oats and whey! Not the eggy-evil-ness i had imagined :D

Has anyone tried adding matcha to their shakes? I used to drink matcha a lot in the states but stopped for some reason since I've come here.

The 2kg whey protein along with some creatine arrived at my doorstep today...so I made up a mix of the 2 (30g protein, 5g creatine) with just some water to try it out in its most basic form..and it tasted very bland.

Not particularly pleasant but not that bad either...for some reason it made me want to put matcha in it...so I think I'll buy some and put a bit in there as matcha has all the concentrated great effects of green tea and also enough caffeine to get the tiniest buzz going if you use the right amount.

Just curious if anyone else has done this before?

Well that looks perfect for the job!

But matcha is actually premium grade green tea that's been ground up...there are a number of ways you can make it (hot water, milk, milk+sugar, add to shakes, whatever)....anyway its quite good for you as you are consuming the entire leaf rather than the teawater.

But that powder extract looks promising, I think I'll give that a try.

It does give you a nice pump and adds a little endurance but nothing in the terms of gains. Also tastes quite nasty and not too far off CEE.

Last night i ditched the usual CEE/Taurine/Green Tea pre-workout mix (cycling off CEE for a couple of weeks) for 1g ALCAR and 2g AAKG.

When you say "nice" pump do you actually mean "your arms will nearly explode"?!? :D As far as vasodilation is concerned this stuff definitely does the job. Didn't feel very strong however and recovery between sets was rubbish - having said that I did go heavy on legs and chest earlier in the week and i've got the beginnings of the cold coming on so could be fatigue.

I'm training again tonight so we'll seen what effect it has on shoulders!! ;)

EDIT: Had it in water and didn't really taste of anything  The CEE (neat in water, you listening Morba) must be burning my tastebuds away!

you eat many phals?

cee is horrific in water, tho the first time i tried it was by licking my finger and sticking it in the tub, then into mouth. jesus that was bad!

Yeah it's pretty potent stuff when you first start using it, I thought my arms were going to explode first time lol :) I took 4g of AAKG once along with about 5g of Taurine and 5g of CEE just to see how much of an effect it would have... felt like the incedible hulk walking home!! :D

The taste isn't as instantly horrific as CEE but I gradually noticed that this was a drink I never looked forward to, definately not a pleasant taste.

My father-in-law came round to the house one day when I was capping all my supplements. I could see he was curious about it all and in the end he just couldn't resist dipping his finger into one of the bags. Out of about 6 different open bags you know which one the unlucky sod picked don't you? :)

He might be over 60 but he didn't half shift across my kitchen to the sink LOL :D
