Hello mate I cracked mine last weekish..
Got a new LCD screen off ebay for £16inc postage and just fit it my self
Its either do it your self or pay £50ish quid for the guys at the shop to do it, its really easy to do, theres a video on youtube showing you how to open your phone if your not sure how to do it

it looks like there has been a piece of grit got between the lcd and outer glass/screen and the outer screeen appears to have stared,if you see what i mean.lcd does not appear damaged
Yeah I know what you mean, that kind of happend to mine
we performed surgery to the patient this lunch time.
thanks for the info guys.Patient is now as clean as can be expected,hopefully will make a full recovery when a new face/screen is purchased in the near future.
cause of injury was very small piece of the lens cover of camera had broke off and was marking the main screen,so there is a few blemishes on the LCD but not too major.is it worth polishing the Lcd to remove these or is it a bit too risky?
