N95 auto rotate

New Beta 3 is out

New functionnalities:
- Fixed some non-working keys bug
- Implementation of the N95's API sensor (instead of 5500)
(don't forget to install N95AccelerometerPlugin.sis)
- Auto-rotation working also when the phone is slanted (and not only upright
as before)
- Auto-rotation at 90° (and no more 45°) like N82.
- Auto-rotation stopped when keypad is locked
- No more unwanted rotation when the phone is shaked

Some have reported a very strange and random bug: Sometimes USB connection
stop working, even if rotateMe is closed. You have to uninstall it to fix
this.
This bug is reported on N95 8gb and in the new N95 firmware.
RotateMe is not the only one to cause this, fexplorer seems to do it also.

So I set rotateMe priority to normal by default but, in this beta, you can
change the priority in order to see if some bugs come from here.

But I'm sure that is a bug in the firmware causing a rotateMe
incompatibility.

Coming in next beta (and I hope the last):
- Enable / disable auto start
- Enable / disable auto-rotation with a hotkey
- Setting to set the delay of the desactivation of autorotation
- A new user interface
- Writing the help context

Very pleased with this app. I do a fair bit of browsing when commuting, so being able to quickly switch between portrait for text entry and landscape for reading is great.

Hi,

Just donated to him and got the files really quick but I can't sign the thing cause symbiansigned wont accept my gmail or hotmail address and doesn't allow you to sign up using Blueyonder domain so thats me screwed :-(

I was looking forward to having this to.

Any suggestions?

This is for those having problems signing sis games and files or for those who want to learn how to do it.

You need to have 3 things:
an account at www.symbiansigned.com
SignSIS files
DevCert Request Tool

To get an account at symbian signed you must have a non-public e-mail address (yahoo and hotmail do not work). If you dont have one, you can register for one at Web Site & Email Services. Then use this address to register yourself at symbiansigned.

Then you must have the SignSIS files (it is attached for you in the thread) and the DevCert Request Tool. to get the latter go to:
https://www.symbiansigned.com/DevCer..._2006_v2.0.exe
Install the tool on your PC.

Now the signing process starts:-

Part One
1. Create a folder and put the unsigned sis file as well as the 2 SignSIS files in it.
2. Open the installed tool.
3. create an output in the same folder as your sis file ( I suggest you rename your sis file to something short and simple because this name will be used more than once in the process eg: abc.)
4. On next screen select 'private key file'. Then give the key file the same name as the sis file and put it into the same folder. Put password 12345.
5. Fill the next screen with any data you want.
6. On next screen, insert your mobile IMEI.
7. Highlight all of the "Application Capabilities" and click Add. on next screen click finish.

Part Two
Note: you will see that new files have been created in the folder.
1. Go to symbiansigned and log on ( remember your username is your email add)
2. Click on th 'My Symbiansigned' tab and then on the 'Developer Certificates'.
3. Click 'Request'. Enter the given code, browse for the .csr file in the folder and upload it.
4. When the uploading is over you'll get a .cer file to download. Save it in the same folder with all the other files.

Part Three
Now you will sign your file.
1. In the folder open the 'auto_signsis.bat' using MS Notepad.
2. Replace every xyz by your sis file's name.
e.g: signsis xyz.sis xyz_signed.sis xyz.cer xyz.key 12345 becomes signsis abc.sis abc_signed.sis abc.cer abc.key 12345 ( if abc is the name of your file.)
3. Click save, NOT SAVE AS.
4. Run the 'auto_signsis.bat'. You'll see that a new sis file will be generated. THIS IS YOUR SIGNED FILE! Enjoy it!

Ive tried signing the file myself but to no avail...dunno must be doing something wrong i think but honestly why the **** do we have to sign the file ourselves...surely its up this muppet to do it himself. Anyways tried turning off app signing but that doesnt work.

Anyways has anyone got a working signed file of rotateme that they could email over??. Email is [email protected]...

It is signed to your own IMEI with a certificate, so any file which you get sent will not work.

Ahh right lol...well i cant get it signed so just going to have to live without it i suppose. Oh well £1 gone...good thing i didnt donate anymore..:p

Finally managed to get the rotateme file signed:D:D.

Used this brilliant little program called Signme...which automatically signs your file as long as you provide the cert and csr file then from there its pretty simple.

Get the program from here: http://www.barakharel.com/signme/

And to get the cert and csr files...just follow the instructions on Page 3 of this thread...namely this bit: You need to have 3 things:
an account at www.symbiansigned.com
SignSIS files
DevCert Request Tool

Note: you will see that new files have been created in the folder.
1. Go to symbiansigned and log on ( remember your username is your email add)
2. Click on th 'My Symbiansigned' tab and then on the 'Developer Certificates'.
3. Click 'Request'. Enter the given code, browse for the .csr file in the folder and upload it.
4. When the uploading is over you'll get a .cer file to download. Save it in the same folder with all the other files.

Thats it, once you have those files then open the program and follow the instructions...probably the easiest and fastest way to sign files.

Thanks for the info in this - only problem is that I can't get Symbiansigned to accept and of my email address so still can't use it and would really like to try it out as I use the web browser a lot and think it would be a lot better if it switched automatically.

Guess I`ll just need to wait for the fullrelease version to come out :(

Symbian wont accept any email addys like hotmail, gmail, aol etc...thats the only problem...luckily it accepted my domain based one.

Tell me about it. My problem is it won't accept my proper Blueyonder one either so thats where the problem comes from. Don't know why they won't allow Blueyonder addresses but what can you do.

Tried a few different ones and none of them worked.

ISP addresses don't neccesarily work too. My f2s address was rejected for some reason. Domain based ones and work/organisation addresses work though, e.g my uni email address :)
