First off, Apologies for the 100th n95 topic.

Has anyone got any suggestions which GPS software I should get for my n95.

My dad got CoPilot free with his Orbit, can I install this on it?

The Nokia maps aren't that bad.

I'd say TomTom is the best imo but you'll need an external bluetooth GPS receiver until tomtom bring an update out so it can use the N95 built in GPS.

I'd also recommend tomtom, just get a cheap gps receiver off ebay, you can pick one up for about £25

I've been using tomtom on my n73 for about 9 months now and it's great.

N95 has a built in GPS receiver. TomTom here as well. On my O2 Orbit.

dont think tomtom recognises the inbuilt gps on the n95 though

might have changed with the latest firmware?

From what I've read you can't use the TT6 and the inbuilt gps receiver in the N95. The problem may be addressed in later releases of TT, we'll just have to wait and see.

Hi mate ,
i am using route 66 on my n95 , and go to say works a treat , seems to work a lot more efficient than the nokia maps ,
if you can get route 66 you wont be unhappy with it , put it this way i have just come back off a holiday with the family and it has got me there and back no problemo , 300 miles with out a glitch.

Just to confirm some of the confusion, you CAN'T use the internal N95 GPS receiver on TomTom at the moment, as the Symbian TomTom will only let you search for a TomTom or bluetooth GPS receiver, and not anything else like a COM port.

Hey mate ,
route 66 will work with the internal gps not a problem make sure that you use the version (Route66.Mobile.v7.3.486) . now getting it installed can be a little tricky < it took me a little while to be honest.
yeah the nokia maps does cost thats why i opted for the route 66 compaired to nokia maps and just to confirm i have had a play with tomtom on my mates vario2 and there pretty much the same , all the hype over tomtom verus the rest is a bit of banter i feel as we did a route in the same car with both working and they both showed the same options .

if you add me to msn i will be happy to help you with this no problems at all i got ton up on tons of free apps and maybe the odd route 66 present for you i am sure ;)

Look forward to speaking to you
