Naked motorcyclist sought by police

The only thing that concerns me about that video is this.

It's filmed from around Quarry/Waterworks then up past gooseneck and onto the mountain. This is the start of the busiest and most popular bit of 'no speed limits' road. Seeing as it's totally empty, and looking at the light, I'd say it was filmed very early in the morning - when the road is not 'one way'.

The mountain road is one way between the Ramsey Hairpin and the Creg-ny-Baa for the entire 2 weeks of the TT.

No, it isn't. It's 1 way on mad sunday, it's also 1 way for an hour or so after each day of racing once the roads are re-opened. The rest of the time it's a 2-way road.

You're thinking of no speed limits on that section I suspect.

I've been over 3 times for the TT, but it's just too busy these days (IMO), and I've seen too many stupid accidents there. :(

Around 4 or 5 years ago was my last trip over.

Seriously? It never used to be like that, makes sense though. I saw so many near misses on that section with people riding like it was one way when it wasn't, people riding flat out when farmer giles or the local builder are just trying to go home from work but are travelling the 'wrong' way round the circuit.

Don't tell me they've fixed the wet patch in the road at Kates Cottage too? :o :D

Yeah it was centenary year, 2007 when they changed it. It was definitely a good idea. Mad Sunday is less mad now as you can do the mountain course any time you like, safe in knowledge a hungover german isn't going to be coming towards you on the wrong side of the road. Casualties were a lot lower as a result, although from what I gather from friends on the island (I lived there for 5 years) this year riders were going a bit nuts and accidents were high
