Name after post

Personally I don't like it because I virtually never look over to the left side of the screen to see who wrote something and I don't really want to know.
Usually the only time I see a name is when I reply and then I might see the name.

I did say it was a petty post,i hold my hands up to that,but you know sometimes you have to get things off your chest that niggle away at you:)
 
Who was that guy (he could have been male [although it's difficult to tell online]) who invented a new (and superior [by most {though not all} measures]) bracketing system?
