Nani goal

Say if it happened at the other end, would the goal of stood? I don't think so, another Old Trafford decision.

And why can 5th official Rio stay there while Clattenburg ushers the Spurs players away? Vidic is the captain if I'm not mistaken.

Gomez didn't exactly do himself any favours though.

From what I can tell, the foul was given, and advantage played as Gomes had the ball.

As football /= Rugby, the advantage passes straight away. Gomes' decision on how to use the advantage was to throw the ball down, assuming it was a free kick. However, no foul had been given so Nani was free to score.

I would be ****ed off if it happened to my team, but at the end of the day i'd have to swallow it and carry on. So I have a lot of sympathy for Spurs' fans.

Loads of stuff wrong with the whole incident. The Missed Pen, Nani handling the ball, Gomes taking the free kick a good 8 yards in front of the hand ball, not playing to the whistle. Seriously the whole thing was carry on comedy at its best

Nanis celebration deserved a kick in the balls even if the incident didn't. Approaching Ronaldo in the annoying greasy bar steward stakes.
