I recently set up a QNAP TS-264(2 bay) with 2 x 6TB HDs Raid 1 and 2x512Gb Nvme drives(pool and Cache accelerator) Also added an extra 8gb sodimm memory.
It's all running nicely with a plex and my storage needs. I know it can do a lot more than that and thought of dabbling with docker containers add an OS to try and run some older, less demanding games directly from the NAS on a downstairs TV.
Wondered if anyone on here as tried this and even if it's worth the faff as I already have a gaming PC. Has the NAS as it's own HDMI and usb ports, wondered if I make a sort of gaming console out of it.
Thanks.
