NAS raid mirror

Can you get a NAS setup that can mirror internally.

By that I mean a 2 bay enclosure setup so that the drives are a mirror copy of each other in case one fails.

There's plenty of options depending which route you want to take, from dedicated NAS boxes such as synology to custom built systems and the hp microservers with a NAS operating system installed

I'd personally be looking at a 4 Bay device to give some expandability.

Looking for a dedicated NAS box like the synology or qnap but these all say mirroring functionality with an external USB drive. Was hoping to keep it all internal.

any 2 or more bay synology or qnap should offer RAID1 on the internal drives.

however mirroring is not a backup, dont rely on it as such.

I recently bought a Synology Diskstation DS213+ 2-Bay Gigabit Ethernet Network Attached Storage Enclosure - 8TB from OCUK for work and have it setup in RAID 1.
