I was just wondering if there are any NAS enclosures that would support HDDs in an encrypted form? For example, I keep my DATA drive on my PC encrypted with TrueCrypt, but I'm thinking of going for a NAS instead, would this still be possible to do?

you are going to need self encrypting drives and a supporting NAS I am guessing. Maybe one to fire off and someone like synology to see if they have something like this available.

That was what I was afraid of, but that'll end up making it more expensive, and more hassle :(

You could always build your own NAS with an ITX board and a linux distro and save yourself the trouble?

Did think of that, but it uses more power, space & money. Although I might consider it at a later date if I feel like it. I do actually have some old PC gear that I could probably use, which would reduce the initial outlay, although it would then increase the power usage...
