NASA

they look shopped to me.
shoppedwv9.jpg

I don't think so.

I'm putting my balls on the choppin' board and saying they are real! Absolutely stunning pictures either way.

Georgeous photos..

I don't think they've been altered, theres quite a few spacewalk photos knocking around which are similar, the hurricane one is bizarre but beautiful

To quote the moon landing conspiracy people, "Where are the stars?"

Obviously they're not visible because of the bright shuttle/earth etc

well they've definatly bveen enhanced in some way

the backgrounds don't seem to match with the rest of the pictures.

the background being something thats either infinite or about 1000 miles away. Put an object that close and its gonna look out of place lol! I highly doubt they're shopped at all

Why would they need to be shopped? I'm sure in one of the ships that docked with the ISS they had space for a good camera and lens, and it's not like NASA would baulk at spending a measly $10000 on a camera and a couple of lenses:p

There was a thread on this a while ago and I think the consensus was the landmass was Australia, but I could be way out.:o

Why would anyone even think these photos aren't real.
NASA's budget for camera and video gear is huge. These were probably taken on a custom built camera that was then handpicked from a group for the mission.

you'd be buggered if you dropped your lens while changing it out there...

Well you couldn't really drop it mind. Or at least if you did, it'd just hover around slightly below you or float away slow enough to grab. Would probably be better than here! :p
Exactly - If you drop anything in space it floats :)
