NAT problems again with two wireless 360's

Aye, i know, i thought he'd done/found some amusing picture of me caught in a sexual pose with a farmyard animal, then I saw MS DOS file type and thought fooooook this!

I dunno, bloody spammers! :D

I'll have a look for you mate, I know how frustrating it his when NAT's playing up!!

Has it only happened since you changed firmware ? IIRC you had both working ok before?

Well I flashed the firmware on the router then bought a wireless adaptor for the other 360 so I have no realy way of trying.

I think they were both Moderate on the old setup.

If UPnP is switched on then that's probably the best you can do.

I can however give you a possible work around, no guarentees though. It may work, it may not. I know if works on the DG834G for some people.

If it doesnt work, there's nothing else you can really do:-

On the Xboxes

Set Xbox 360(1) to Auto
Set Xbox 360(2) to Manual settings: IP 192.168.0.5 Subnet 255.255.255.0 Gateway 192.168.0.1 DNS1 192.168.0.1 DNS1 192.168.0.1

On your router

Logon to the router http;//192.168.0.1
Ensure UPnP is on
Go into the WAN settings of the router
Enter the address 192.168.0.5 into the DMZ field and tick the DMZ Server box
Click Apply
Reboot the router

Run the Xbox live test on both Xboxes, hopefully they will both be "Open"

Ripped from another forum.

Let me know how you get on.

Is the 'GT' one of the routers confirmed to allow 'open' NAT for 2 or more xboxs?

I was going to change my DG834N to the Dlink 2640B for this very reason..

No.

This is the only list I have found of compatible ones, but as I have only 1 360 i have not actually tested (nor own) any of the listed routers.

What is NAT? What I were to disable it on the router? Would it not let me share the internet on the gateway then?
You can;t not use the NAT with your config. Basically if you only had 1 machine on your network then you could disable NAT (and your device would use your ISP's IP address for your LAN device). As you have more than 1 device and only 1 IP Address, NAT is necessary. I am sure you don't want the complicated answer as to why you need it, you just do :)

At the very least at least one of your machines should show as OPEN (I ahve same config as you and with *** forwarded ports I get OEN on my 3760 NAT test. If you use port forwarding 1 of your machines should be OPEN (like mine). If you use UPnP you will definitely get 1 machine as OPEN and MAYBE the 2nd one as well (hard to tell).
