natural look(hair)

Is it the fibre stuff your using?

I see American Crew Fiber do a few types - matte/sleek for example. Whats the best?

I normally use the "Surf look" stuff but fancy a change.

I'm going to go to stylist on Saturday maybe, get it done and speak to them, see what they can do about it. I might ask to get my Hair like Liam Gallaghers in that first Picture, its a pretty good hair cut imo. I quite like it. Do you think if I wen't in and explained to them that I wanted my hair similar to Liam Gallaghers, they would know what I'm on about?
I've never been to a stylist before, just a normal barber. :o

It's time to try something new :D

Can someone answer my question about this please? :) Its just I'm not sure what to ask for if I go to a stylist as I've never been to one before.

Well it depends if they know who he is, you could take in a picture i guess to be totally safe so you can show the exact hair cut that you want. Best to ask if they think that type of haircut will suit you, or what is the best style for you.

you could make your hair really flat like in picture 2 that you posted if you wear a hat :D, specially while its drying. My hair goes super flat like that if ive worn a hat that day, but i guess its not really practical to wear a hat just to get a hairstyle

Where can i get crew fibre from on the high street?
I buy it from my barber. I imagine that a lot of places that cut men's hair will sell it - the place I go to uses American Crew stuff exclusively.

I feel obliged to point out, though, that while it is good, it's not some magical miracle substance that will cure all your hair woes. Some people just have crap hair ;)

How long would you say it lasts if say a standard pot of Bryllcream wax (small) lasts a couple of weeks?

My hair goes quite fuzzy after I have washed it, found the best way to fix it is when it’s still wet get something like Brylcreem modelling gel and put that through your hair and flatten your hair down. Once it’s dried you can rub it out and hey presto! Flat unfuzzy hair.

After that I generally use Fudge shaper and a tub of that stuff lasts me over 2 months, but after reading all the comments about this crew fibre stuff it made me go and order a tub! Hope its good :D

My hair is either very fluffy (just after washing it) or disgustingly greasy (a day or so after washing)
EXACTLY THE SAME HERE!!

i just let it be fluffy..but try to style it out a bit..looks cool..until i get a haircut #3 n its nice and short :)..until it gets back to the fluffy stage :(

Hmm, I was thinking that most hair dressers would know who he was and what his hair was like. I've not really got a picture, the only way I could get one would be to print one off, which I can't as my Printer at home has no Ink :|

straighten your hair, but with bloke straighteners

they have a thinner heat strip while makes them more manageable especially with bloke length hair

i use a product called 'Bed Head' its texturizing paste which leaves a dry natural effect whilst allowing you to put your hair where you want it, and keep it there.

i asked how many blokes come in here straighten their hair, when i was getting my hair cut recently, apparently 30-40% of guys who go into that place, use straighteners

its quite a modern place so im guessing your not going to get 40 year old blokes going in for a tidy up...

Shave it off.. your going bald :p

seriously tho, my hair went like that before it started faling out... i used to wash it in this stuff i stole from my sisters, then use a treatment in an orange bottle (an oily substance). think the active ingredient was called keratin.
I tried so many products and that was the only one that got my hair back to normal. Very expensive tho.

i also started going to a salon and paying £30 a month to have it styled, which was good for a while.. in the end i just got fed up with it and shaved it off.. never been happier with my hair :D number 1 all the way for me!

Its ok, I know a local place where I can get it done.

My only concern is that he'll know what I mean if I ask him to make my Hair similar to Liam Gallaghers.

Shifty, you could try The Mens Store on Sauchiehall St (next to Dinos). Been there several times and it's highly recommended. The stylists will ask exactly what you want and then talk you through exactly what they'll do before they even touch your hair. They also sell Fudge and American Crew stuff at a decent price.
