Trying to but I'm falling pray to the 'Attempting Connection...' hang. Haven't made it into an online server; hosted my own server to jump around in seems a little resource intensive. Give them time though, ns1 in the beginning was diabolically laggy and they sorted their act out in a few weeks, lets hope for the same this cycle.

It has potential but it's pretty unplayable at the minute. Impressive for an alpha.

Can't remember if I used to play for FX or not.

As for NS2 will be playing this when it comes out

I definitely remember you. I remember the first time I signed up to this bored I saw you're name and wondered if you were the KaHn I knew from playing on the FX servers, but never bothered asking lol.

Not sure if the build bot is a good thing, long gone are the days of building rts. I know its unbalanced but it just seems like too much of an advantage as it gives early game marines a lot more effective man power.

tbh not much gameplay going on atm, lots of connection issues, and my fps is really bad.

There should be a patch out later to do that fixes the connection problems and a few other things so lets hope

now there is a name i DO recall - Bry. in my opinion the only servers worth playing on were:

FX server
Bry's server
VH1 server

nice to see some other semi-familiar names on OCUK. just in case anyone was wondering FX will indeed be hosting an NS2 server which is great news. oh n if anyone remembers [FX] Sgt.Apone - c'est moi!

also there is an FX group on facebook (come find us!) as well as steam and a new FX website is in the pipeline with new forums as well.

I have 2 servers up now:
91.192.210.24:27015 (16 slot)
and
91.192.210.24:27020 (12 slot)

I am testing without passwords now to see if the connection lag problems have been fixed.
However, i'd recommend staying away from server 2 for now as they have introduced a bug where a second server will not be visible on the server list so i think it will be very unpopulated.

Oh wow - had no idea Bry was in this thread, I must have been half asleep. Thanks for the servers Bry; I definitely remember gravitating towards yours in NS1 and I expect I'll do so with NS2 too!
