Natural Selection 2

I played a lot of NS back in the day, so im looking forward to NS2.

Been such a long time since the the first one came out, hope they made it worth the wait.

Would love it if the Beta access people could keep us up to date :)

I'm a bit confused... I just purchased the 2 for 1 with a friend but feeling a bit sore as unsure if I'll get the FINAL product? I best of not just been paying for beta access... if so that's a con :(.

Both teams also have a commander who issues orders, builds stuff and for these players its basically a strategy game...

Crazy mix aye... some of the issues with this I had in NS1 look to be removed in gameplay for NS2 :)

Oooo sounds abit like savage, if the reviews are good once its released i'll definately be giving it a go, savage was pretty awesome back in the day.

Yes, it shares the RTS/FPS style of Savage. I liked it more NS more though, and it was generally rated by critics to be better....

Im quite a fan of ns and even though im looking forward to ns2 im not sure about this sale, if you think about it you'll be getting an unfinished game still with a long way to go, i don't doubt it will be good when finished but its still a bit soon and a bit much at that price, im only interested in getting it when its around £10 or less anyway so really they should be offering it cheap now and putting up the price a bit release, seems a bit backwards at the moment.

Oh also i don't use paypal! :p

No you're getting the full game, you're just getting access to the closed beta that the general public wont get.

It's come along way since the early basically unplayable alpha's. Whilst a lot of the game is still yet to be implemented (Onos, Dynamic infestation, JetPacks, Heavy armour ect) You can already get the feel for the game.

I generally play 4 vs 4 or 6 vs 6 servers, and whilst it's a bit laggy, it's certainly enjoyable. There's plenty in the game already to keep you going (4 alien lifeforms, Power-nodes, Marine shotguns & flame-throwers)

Don't get me wrong for your £10 you wont be getting a finished beta with everything polished, but you will get a chance to play the early beta and help give feedback to the Devs. And also at the end of it have a cracking game for £10.

I went ahead and got it as its two games for about £11.50 each, not bad as it may end up taking a while to come down in price when released anyway and this way i can see the progress and have play with the map editor.

So far it looks pretty good and has a lot of potential but yeah its not what i consider playable yet but probably worth getting now as i reckon it should be reasonable in another few months and probably a great game by this time next year. :D
 
There's still a few more days left to pickup two copies for the price of one, i've had a few decent games so far, though it needs a lot more maps and features added, it already appears to have quite a good mapping and modding community working on stuff so this should be a good one to get in the long run.
 
Keeping an eye on this, played the first mod and it was fun when you found a server with people in. Most of the time it was full of people with no idea what to do.

Although this new one looks good, I find it a bit pricey for what your getting personally, I hope it isn't going to be one of the games that stay in BETA for ages they will never pull in the big crowds that way which they need.
