They'll probably ring you with general confusion if you try and cancel before it's all sorted. I'd just wait until it's clear before you try. Departments aren't generally very good at talking to each other...

gonna state in the letter about the current dispute and the continuing of payments etc. we'll see what happens! i'd rather not have it anymore, if they tell me i dont have a leg to stand on about the xbox payments then im stuck in the same position!

I'm with Natwest and I've never had any problems with them. They gave me £60 for opening the account, gave me a switch card at 17 and a credit card when nobody else would touch me. The only problem I've ever had is that they wouldn't give me a graduate loan because my degree (electrical engineering) didn't fit their criteria (which seemed to be doctors, lawyers and accountants). They're now writing to me on a weekly basis offering me the very loan that they turned me down for 18 months ago.
Still, I feel that I owe them at least another couple of years of custom for treating me so good.

This happened to me too. I am cancelling it for sure next time, it's absolutely worthless anyway.
