NBA 14/15 Season

Bron back in the groove :p

Immense night from Griff as well.

Spurs were poor in their win and now lose to Suns, be interesting to see if this is the beginning of the end for them.

I think it might be. Duncan has this year left on his contract then he'll be 40 so I reckon he'll retire. A lot of older players in the team may start to lose it which won't help the youngsters and Leonard never signed his extension in time last night so he becomes a restricted free agent in the summer.

Yea, he knows he can get a max contract though, the Spurs can and will give him one but they won't do it until the end of the season. It makes sense now to give him the extension and make life easier for themselves but anything now would go against the salary cap for the Spurs next season and considering there will likely be some key positions to fill it will be better for the Spurs to hold off with Leonard until the summer.

So basically signing Kawhi now will not be a bad thing but they will have a lot more room to play with when it comes to free agency in the summer, if they leave his contract alone for now. Anything signed now will go against next seasons cap where as letting him become a restricted free agent and qualifying veteran free agent will mean they can sign him under the Bird Exception and the Spurs can exceed the salary cap to re-sign him, at an amount up to the maximum salary even if it exceeds the salary cap.

So, when it comes to rebuilding then this was probably the best option of both player and team. Can't see Leonard leaving San Antonio just yet.

He might have different plans, though. It would be stupid for him to leave the Spurs because he is already a fantastic player and can become the core of that team when Duncan, Manu, and Parker all call it quits.

I would be shocked if Leonard moved on, he could become the new key peice for them.

Already liking how this season is shaping up, I've been a huge critic but be good if he can replicate then exceed his old Raptors form. He was a beast back then.

Yea I'd be shocked if Bosh doesnt have a great season, all you have to do is look at the games where Bosh played for the Heat when LeBron was out for you to see that he can put up huge numbers for Miami. He never stopped being a beast but had to play 2nd fiddle to LeBron... K Love will soon find out what thats like lol..

Nah this isnt about them disagreeing anything. Nothing wrong with flirting with the FA market for him but there wont be many teams willing to put a big offer for him. Not because he isnt worth it but the FA market doesnt last long. Basically teams will want to get their targets wrapped up quick, with Leonard they will go straight into a biding war that they are 99% likely to loose. With the salary cap going up hopefully as soon as next season I'd be very very surprised if SA are willing to let him go. Leonard will be in San Antonio for a long time.

This is in Leonards best interest too mind and he knows that, the Spurs will be able to attract better Free Agents this way.

:) :) :) The Cavs just looked to give up last night, lets hope they do that more often throughout the season. LeBron 4/12, Irving 3/17, Waiters 3/11. 19 Points in the 3rd and... 13 in the 4th. I know its just one game but their defense looked nasty.

Would laugh so hard if the Heat stay fit and finish above the Cavs this year.

Pelicans beating the Spurs and Warriors beating the Rockets, some nice play up in Sam Fran!!

If Pelicans can iron out the inconsistency they can be good too.

Cavs, the interview with Bron was remarkably similar to his first season in Miami, being too respectful of those around him and trying to let them play. If he stops being nice and imposes himself like he did the last game they'll be all right.

Also nice to see Wade and Bosh stepping up, they should make the play offs but they will struggle post season.

2 more games for the Bulls and then "The Circus Trip" coming up. Got the Raptors and the Pacers first... The Raptors have been on a good run, think its only the Heat that have beat them so. Then we should get a win over Indiana which should leave us on 8-2 after the opening 10 games.

The Circus Trip though will be tough, starting at the Clippers but I'm confident we can take them if we play tough enough D. Thats followed by a back to back with the Kings and Portland, both teams have had an ok start so I'm hoping we should be at least 2 for 3 at this point. Then 2 days off before another back to back at the Jazz and the Nuggets, cant see us loosing any of those. Finished off then by the Celtics (not letting them beat on us again) and the Nets, who will be too slow for us IMO. So im thinking 7 wins from 9 there all together :) proving I have waaaaaay too much confidence in the Bulls.

So my prediction for the end of play on the 30th/ early morning of the 31st of Nov is that the Bulls will have a nice 13-4 standing in the East :p

By that point I still expect the Heat to be closer to the Bulls than the Cavs too :)

My only thought after seeing that score.

Kings file protest with NBA over loss to Grizzlies

NEW YORK — The National Basketball Association announced today that the Sacramento Kings have protested the team's 111-110 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on November 13 at FedExForum. The basis for the Kings' protest is that Courtney Lee's game-winning shot should have been disqualified as having been made after time expired. Under the protest procedures in the NBA Constitution, Memphis and Sacramento each will have an opportunity to submit evidence in support of its position and the protest will be decided by December 2.

Looks OK to me... but that's just going by the backboard light. I cant see this being overturned to be honest.
