NEC MultiSync 24WMGX3

Thanks

Crapped myself tonight though as switched on the pc and the display was shimmering and out of focus. Checked resolution and refresh rate and the resolution had dropped from 1920x1200 to 1920x1080? I Could not change It to the higher resolution as It was not In Nvidia control panel - dissappeared

I Uninstalled the drivers for Nvidia and reinstalled again and everything okay again

Don't know what caused it.

Only downisde for me is without the remote changing the menu options on the screen with that joystick button thing is pretty hopeless.

I find that its a pain as well but once I set up my monitor I don't mess with the settings anymore so it doesn't bother me.

Plus a kind soul on here who got one with a remote and didn;t need the remote very kindly posted it to me :D

That's a very nice person! I gotta say the remote is so useful, but then my missus has her PC setup onto it too through the VGA port and switching between inputs is so much easier with the remote!

Hi THFC, I had a similar problem after having the monitor a few days and realized that I changed the DVI Edit Select to AV mode. It was back to normal after changing it back to PC mode and rebooting.:D

Hello!

I`m maybe finally making the switch to a Widescreen LCD monitor from my CRT screen, and definitely considering buying this screen at the end of this munth.

I was wondering what would be the best way of conecting this up to my graphics card in my sig for best quality???

1. connecting it up to my graphics card using the screens own supplied DVI cable.

or

2. purchasing one of those DVI to HDMI Adaptor or is it the other way round, need HDMI to DVI Adapter for this??? to connect this screen to my graphics cards DVI port and use the screens HDMI port.

I was also wondering if there are any windows monitor drivers supplied with this screen, and if not, is there any on the internet somewhere available for this screen that works in XP, Vista and possibly Windows 7???

Thanks for responding.

Sylver123, drivers are provided with the monitor but aren't really needed.

Using the supplied DVI cable will be fine, using a DVI to HDMI adapter won't make any difference to the image quality as DVI and HDMI are the same - it's just different connectors.

Hello!

I was also wondering what`s this screens recommended screen refresh rate I should set in windows??? As i'm coming from a CRT screen with windows refresh rate set at 100Hertz, i`ll have to set the correct recommended refresh rate for this screen or i`ll probably get no display.

Thanks for responding.
