The PA241W is 16:10, 1920 x 1200. The price is inline with the screens specifications. It's not aimed at your average joe. There will very likely be cheaper normal versions (still not cheap) and then more expensive SpectraView versions that come with the calibration software etc. These will be professional level colour displays. Eizos, not Dells.
The PA2421W should be available in April and i'm hoping to get an advanced review sample very soon! The PA271W will begin first shipment in June 2010 and the PA231W in September 2010 with the PA301W appearing soon after. (thats latest NEC have told me)
Why must everything on this forum be assessed on it's usefullness for gaming This isn't there to replace your 24WMGX3, it's for people who care about colour, not speed.
That said, I'm not hugely impressed with the numbers it was pulling, I thought the new 10bit panels may be able to do more than simply display more colours. Also to note that I highly doubt NEC will release software to allow hardware calibration of the monitor LUT in the future, as it's a feature you pay more for with the SpectraView models. At present in the USA you can pay extra for this at a later date to 'unlock' your non SpectraView, but in Europe you cannot.
