Need a car for a Dog

Anything with a low-load boot, ie an estate, will be best.
Labs are especially enthusiastic and not the best at jumping, so something that lessens the chances of 'striking the deck' is far better for their wellbeing. Also better for your back when they're older and need your help getting their 25-30kg up into the car.
 
£2k gets you a mk5 golf gti if you don't mind a manual. Plenty practical, especially with the seats down. They are super cheap to maintain.
